Since September, our MAN eTGX has been covering 1,200 km daily between Halle and Zuffenhausen in a two-shift operation, impressively demonstrating how reliably and effectively battery-electric trucks can be used in long-haul transport today. The lowliner, with an interior height of 3 m and a range of up to 500 km, enables optimal utilization for the automotive industry and makes electric long-haul transport economically attractive.

Milestone: E-truck range test
ELFLEIN is actively promoting emission-free transport solutions — both in local and long-distance transport. A highlight: On April 29, 2025, a MAN e-truck successfully completed a 370 km long long-haul journey from Regensburg to Leipzig — without intermediate charging, steered by Rüdiger Elflein himself. As a result, ELFLEIN saves around 62 tons of CO₂ annually on this route — a further step towards climate-friendly logistics.

Euroschwanenhals
Travel more efficiently — with a tailor-made Eurotrailer. ELFLEIN developed an innovative transport concept for a customer to reduce trips and CO₂ emissions. The specially designed Eurotrailer enables large, lightweight containers to be stacked in two layers, significantly increasing transport efficiency.
Capacity increase of 150 %
- Conventional trailer: 2 containers per trip with a megatrailer
- Specially designed “Euroschwanenhals” trailer from ELFLEIN:
5 containers per trip - Reduction in daily trips from 135 to 54
- Savings of 81 trips per day
- CO₂ savings: approximately 210 tons per year
thermal drones
We use thermal drones with high-resolution infrared sensors to detect overheating at an early stage. They automatically monitor storage zones, identify critical temperature increases at an early stage — and thus effectively minimize fire risks. Thanks to high-resolution infrared sensors, temperature deviations can be detected early — even before visible damage or smoke develops.
