Elflein as a pioneer in logistics electrification - P3 Report

Elflein as a pioneer in logistics electrification

Elflein recognized the potential of electric mobility at an early stage in order to meet increasing customer expectations, regulatory requirements and its own sustainability goals. We currently operate five fully electric trucks, which are primarily used on fixed short-distance routes.

Marco Schubert, Key Account Manager at Elflein, explains: “The motivation comes from various directions — sustainability goals, customer requirements and legal regulations. It was important for us to gain experience in this field at an early stage. ”

To strengthen the charging infrastructure, the company already operates several charging stations with an output of up to 150 kW. In the long term, Elflein aims to operate a fully climate-neutral fleet by 2034.

Challenges and future prospects

Electrification also presents challenges, including high investments in vehicles and infrastructure as well as long delivery times for essential components. Nevertheless, Elflein sees significant potential in sustainable logistics, as electrification offers not only ecological advantages but also economic benefits, such as reduced operating costs and a strengthened corporate image.

With this strategic direction, Elflein is positioning itself as a leading company in the transformation towards zero-emission logistics.

Through practical insights and a detailed analysis of market trends, the report serves as a valuable guide for the transformation of the logistics industry. Discover how electric mobility can help shape the future of logistics.
