Strategic, sustainable, future-oriented: Elflein featured in the DVZ

In a recent article published by the Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ), Rüdiger Elflein and Stefanie Kotschenreuther discuss key topics shaping the future — from strategic direction to clearly defined sustainability goals.

Sustainability as a core business principle

One of the central topics is the integration of sustainable logistics solutions across all areas of the company. Elflein recognized the importance of resource-efficient transport technologies at an early stage. Today, we operate more than 80 LNG trucks and 11 electric trucks — and our fleet continues to grow. In addition, Elflein is expanding its own charging infrastructure and is consistently investing in bio-LNG, HVO fuel and photovoltaic systems at its logistics locations.

The long-term goal is clearly defined: All transport operations should be emission-free by 2037 at the latest. The warehouse locations are expected to achieve this target even earlier.

Responsibility beyond day-to-day business

In the interview, Rüdiger Elflein underlines the corporate responsibility associated with climate change and clarifies: “We must act today in order to remain economically and socially successful tomorrow. ”
