ELFLEIN has been honored with the Porsche Award in the “Best Performance FTL” category!

We are incredibly proud and delighted to receive this special recognition. Last week, Porsche presented us with the “Best Performance FTL” award — a strong acknowledgment of our outstanding performance in the Full Truck Load (FTL) sector.

Sustainable logistics solutions are becoming increasingly important — and at ELFLEIN, we are continuously working to establish innovative and environmentally friendly transport concepts. Together with our partner HDE, we successfully tested our electric truck with a moving-floor trailer under real operating conditions in order to enable emission-free transport solutions for the paper industry.

Elflein as a pioneer in logistics electrification

Elflein recognized the potential of electric mobility at an early stage in order to meet increasing customer expectations, regulatory requirements and its own sustainability goals. We currently operate five fully electric trucks, which are primarily used on fixed short-distance routes.

The article highlights the strategy of Rüdiger Elflein, Managing Director of Elflein Transport & Logistik, to reduce CO₂ emissions while at the simultaneously maintaining economic efficiency. Since its foundation as a family business in 1932, Elflein has developed into an international logistics service provider. With 1,275 employees across 13 transport and 7 logistics sites in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, as well as a fleet of 450 company-owned trucks, the company generates an annual turnover of 150 million euros.

Sustainability in motion! Our Managing Director, Rüdiger Elflein, took part in the Zero Emission Summit 2024, where the winners of the Eco Performance Award were honored. Ten years after receiving this award ourselves, we continue to focus on innovative solutions.

We are pleased to take another important step towards sustainable logistics. From now on, we will be using the all-electric MAN eTGX as part of our transport operations for the DRÄXLMAIER Group. The eTGX will transport batteries for the Porsche Macan Electric between the Dräxlmaier plant and the Porsche plant in Leipzig — completely emission-free.
