Elflein as a pioneer in logistics electrification

Elflein focused on electric mobility early on in order to meet increasing customer requirements, legal requirements and its own sustainability goals. Elflein currently operates five all-electric trucks that are used on fixed short distances.

Since the start of the family business in 1932, Elflein has developed into an international logistics service provider. With 1,275 employees at 13 transport and 7 logistics locations in Germany, the Czech Republic and Poland, as well as a fleet of 450 own trucks, the company generates an annual turnover of 150 million euros.

We are pleased to take another important step towards sustainable logistics. From now on, we will be using the all-electric MAN eTGX as part of our transport for the DRÄXLMAIER Group. The eTGX will transport batteries for the Porsche Macan Electric between the Dräxlmaier plant and the Porsche plant in Leipzig — completely emission-free.

Since September, ELFLEIN has been active with a new project that includes just-in-time (JIT) and just-in-sequence (JIS) transports. The routes cover Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, as well as intra-Hungarian transports.
